Hello Termite

I have used the terminal emulator rxvt-unicode (urxvt) for almost two years. Although it is quite lack of document to understand its way of configuration by using the .Xresources file, I like it a lot for the features of fast and lightweight.

As metioned in the last blog, I try to use Starship for prompt customization recently. Many glyphs cannnot be displayed in urxvt. At first, I thought it was the problem of falling back font configuration. But after searching in several forums and blogs, I noticed the problem unicode and emoji support in the urxvt. Ironically, the word “unicode” is even included in its name.

So I decide to switch to another terminal emulator. My choice is Termite this time due to its simple and clear configuration. If you are interested in it, please have a try while referring to the manual. Although this manual is from the wiki of archlinux, the configuration is similar in other linux distributions.
